May we all stand for the pledge please. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Okay. Clerk Pro Temp, could you please call the roll for me? Okay. Trustee Wilken. Here. Trustee McIlwain. Here. Here. Trustee Artensey. Here. Trustee Owendahl is not here. And Trustee Supervisor of Sellers. Here. We have a quorum. We have a quorum. The first order of minutes is approval of minutes for the July 20th, 2026 meeting. Any motion in a second, please? I'll make motion. Second. No, please leave a minute if you haven't done so already. Are there any questions on the minutes? No, sir. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. The next little bit is approval of bills payable. Any motion that's second, please? So moved. Second. Motion by O.C. is seconded by Michael Wayne. Please take a look at the bills payable. Yeah, I just have a question on, yeah, the one for Tanya Williams-Price. So, I'm assuming so the property is just in her personal name then? Okay. Okay. All right. Yep. All right. She is the actual landlord. All right. Yep. Now often you just see just, you know, persons. Right. To be lucky enough. Versus an overseer or company name. All right. We're on claims and demand. I'll hold on to the chance to take a look at them. We're on bills payable. You want to take a look at the bills real quick? Have any questions about the bills? Those have gone over on the right. Any questions? We're on it right now. I'm sorry. Oh, no, we're on bills and payable right now. Yep. No questions? Any questions? Trustee? Okay. Clerk for 10, please call the roll. Okay. Trustee Wilken? Aye. Trustee McIlwain? Aye. Trustee Owendahl? Aye. Trustee Altensey? Aye. Supervisors of Service? Aye. Motion carries. The next order of business is approval, discussion and approval of service provider agreement with the Veterans Assistance Commission for the administering of its medical transportation program. Any motion in a second, please? Second? Second. All right. Flo's open for discussion. Yeah, so. I sent, I gave an updated budget. I updated it. Because I also have the expenditure, year-to-date expenditures for what they have, what they spent so far up until. Is that that long? No. No, it's updated from that. It's attached to your. Exhibit A? Yes, it's Exhibit A inside of your packet right there. The nine-page one? Yes. So it would look like this. Okay. Okay? Yep. Thank you. So they're not quite done with their 2026 budget yet. They're still spending out of it. But I'll let you guys take a look at that and give me your questions. And it's good because it always helps them out. Yes. Especially taking veterans up to the VA with Monroe, you can't get past Monroe to go to Monticello, to Nicolares, you have to go a different route I have a question. When does this contract start then? I know we talked about that, this one is going to start, well it's not a contract but an agreement It is a contract, agreement contracts. When does this one start? As soon as we sign it. So they're still spending on the other one? Yes, this is for next year. Yes, this is for next year. Because we're into our next year. Yeah, we're in the 2026, and so this is for the 2027 budget. When's the fiscal year? Oh, Mike. Usually it's December 1, I would guess. Yep, I'm thinking that's December 1. Because that's where most colonies are. Yep, yep, yep. So they are into the fourth quarter now. A couple of questions. I mean, I'm okay with the overall amount. It's interesting that they only increase fuel for van one is $600, and I guess I would assume van number two, they must be assuming less trips in that van, because that fuel actually has gone down from, it was budgeted, and They're using their newer van for the longer drives, and their older vans are used for the more shorter drives. Alright, and they only got $500 increase for the Madison van. Now, that's with the way fuel prices are going up. Right. I would just think that maybe... Well, and they have a VA over in Rockford, too. But it's not, I mean, all we have here is the nurse practice. Yeah, I'm just wondering if they're underestimating the fuel parts. I don't know. Yeah. This is, yeah, this is what we have. Right. Yeah. So we have to go by what there? I'm trusting that they, that this will help cover what they need. Let's hope so. Just the bandwashing, that seems pricey. Maybe it's just me, but It depends on what your winter is going to be like, too. Yeah, they budget that for 2026. Yeah, 2026. I mean, it's greatly reduced in the 2020 and 1200, but Again, I'm definitely okay with the overall amount, and if any of these areas seem like it might be inflated, probably I'm sure it could be shifted. It could be used up somewhere else. But, I don't know, it just seems kind of pricey for a man. I know this is a very small chunk, but, and the Sears subscription, I'm sure he could get that lower. What I want to do, trustees, was take care of their transportation services for them to where they can utilize that funding towards other areas that they've seen significant increases in. So that's why we did a set amount last year, we did a set amount this year, and that's why I did it that way. I was just going to say, like all of us, I mean, they budget, but obviously they use money where the needs are, so they're the things that they haven't. So they're trying to live within the budget and make it work. And you never know how many trips they're going to have to make to Madison or the Rockford until... The VA or the veterans come in and say, this is to come in and say, this is what I have to do. Yeah, I guess I'm a little nervous with what they have budgeted for fuel. I just don't want to get in a situation where, because we really don't know what's going to happen with the fuel prices, the way things are going. No, we don't. And if things spike even higher, I just don't want to get caught where we get into May or June next year and like, you know, we're coming short. And I know we would be open to providing the additional assistance if needed, but just wonder if it might not be a good idea maybe just to take a look at that number again just so we can reduce the likelihood of that happening. At least that way if it's budgeted and we've approved it, it's there. But I just think that's a real possibility. Yes. But we budgeted $50,000 for them. That's what Liz and I, we sat down and we talked to the VACSC and that's the number that we came up with. So I'm hoping that they'll be able to. All right. Okay. That's just, you know, um, yeah. So I get it. I know what you mean. And the cost of fuel is anybody's guess, but anybody can say it's not going to go down. We know that. If we're going to guess, we know it's probably not going to go down. So I know what you mean. I get it. Yeah. Just look at the last two weeks. There's a 45 cent difference between Freeport's gas amount for price and if you go to Monticello or New Glarus or Madison even. It's like $3.94 We're out there. What I can do is flag this and have the VACSC flag fuel especially and we keep monitoring and they can, you know, so we can see where we are. Because again, I agree with what you're saying. Yeah. We don't know the outcome, but based off what we've been seeing, the likelihood of it going up is more than it is going down. Alright. Yeah, like I said, definitely in favor of the agreement. Don't roll it out. Just questioning it a little bit. But I will definitely have that discussion with Jacob and say, hey guys, really take a look at your fuel consumption and, you know, which they do. They do a great job at staying within budget. Yeah, so I will definitely talk, that's the discussion I will have with him about keeping a close eye on fuel usage for Yeah, because like gas jumps up to $5 down, there's nothing, they can budget all they want, these trips aren't negotiable, they're optional trips like going on vacation Right, no, you gotta have those trips, so you're just gonna be stuck with this higher fuel cost, even with your best budgeting practices Right, right. And it's the same thing for vehicle maintenance. Everything is going up and as the price of oil goes up, the price of tires go up because that's all part of it. It's all connected. So I see. I get it. Thank you. I have one, just a question. Yes, ma'am. Okay, so I'm looking at on the second page with van cell phone and tablets and it looks like they bought a bunch. Are they planning on buying more in the next 2027? Because they budgeted for, if I'm reading this right, they budgeted for $5,000 for the 2027 budget and it looks like actuals for this year was they spent $5,557.04. So it looks like they bought some. Do you know if they're planning on buying more? If I'm not mistaken. Am I reading that right? They did tablets. Okay. And I'm thinking they need cell phones. They need the new cell phones. Oh, okay. So they just, okay. So cell phones, not tablets. Okay, gotcha. Yep, they got the tablets. I understand. And if I'm not mistaken, all the that includes the subscriptions for everything as well. Okay, thank you. So, yeah, yeah. Good question. Thank you for asking. Yeah, very good, Kathy. Do we have any more questions? Okay, trustees, any more questions on the service provider agreement with the DOC? No. No? Okay, seems to be done. Collectible 10, please call the roll. Trustee Wilkins? Aye. Trustee McIlwain? Aye. Trustee Orlendorff? Aye. Trustee Orlendorff? Aye. Trustee Orlendorff? Aye. Supervisor of Sellers? Aye. The next order of business is the Supervisor's Report, and I don't think I have anything. I think I, I think, don't, don't be so surprised. Don't be so surprised. Um, I think I've discussed, I think we discussed everything about, um, the numbers for the food pantries we did at the last meeting. Um, I will have, uh, numbers for our assistance through the community action for the next meeting. I'll have those numbers available as well as Operation Jumpstart numbers for you guys for the next meeting, okay? Let me write that down and make sure I have those numbers for you guys. But that's all I have. The next order of this is the assessor's report. And I have nothing for you to report tonight unless you have a question for me. All righty. Thanks, Neda. All righty. The next order of pay, this is trustees report. Trustees. No report? Okay. I have nothing. Okay. The next order of public comments. Any public comments? We'll always say something. Shane Orlow, I actually just came from a meeting before this. You guys, I know many of you are very humanitarian in your efforts, school's starting up, so there's going to be a lot of back to school needs, we're starting sports next week, kids are going to need shoes, all kinds of stuff, I know for a fact that the school district is kind of in a budget, I don't want to say crisis, but burden, so they can't necessarily provide all the things that we used to right now. We're hoping to build it back up. But if you guys see a teacher looking for classroom supplies, a kid that needs a coat to get to school, you know, if you can donate some snacks to the school, anything like that, just be aware of that because I know that you guys have a heart for that stuff. So just be ready for that coming down the line in the next couple weeks because I know that, you know, as you guys are talking about gas prices and stuff like that. Some of the other things are important, too. Very much. Thank you, guys. All right. Thank you. Any other public comments? Is there any other business coming for the town? Seeing that there is none, I'll attend a motion to adjourn until Monday, August 17th, 2026 at 4.30 p.m. So moved. Molder than you are. I'm going to move a second, though. Second. Okay. Alrighty. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Any opposed? Means adjourned. Thank you all. Thank you.
