Okay, all right, it's a meeting of the Court Services Committee, Wednesday, August 2012, 2026, appreciate everybody coming, our first item is prayer, I'll take care of that, Heavenly Father, we thank you for allowing us to get together, and allowing all these dedicated individuals to come and do the best they can for the people of Stevenson County. Father, we would ask that you would guide us through the process of the budget and make the best use of the tax dollars. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. 3.0 would be the approval of the agenda. Motion to approve. Motion by Mr. Hadley. I'll make a second. Second by Ms. Williams. Any discussion? Seeing none. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Motion passes. 4.0 is the review and approval of the meeting minutes from July 8, 2026 meeting. Can I get it up? I'll make a motion to approve the meeting minutes. Second. Motion by Ms. Williams. Second by Mr. Hadley. Any discussion? Seeing none. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Motion passes. Approval of claims in the amount of $52,258.26. Is there a motion? Motion to approve. Motion by Mr. Hadley. I'll make a second. Second by Ms. Williams. Any discussion? Anyone want to look at the stack of bills? Seeing none, all those in favor say aye. Aye. Okay, those opposed, same sign. Hearing none, motion passes. Public comment? Seeing none, reports to committee. Judge Houser, do you have a report or do you just want to wait for the budget? What I would report would be summarized by these four exceptional people, so I will let them take care. It's nice to see you, folks. Yes, nice to see you too, Judge Although I did just see you the other day But thanks for coming Okay, moving on to Public Defender I just have budget stuff, not necessarily any comments So I think I'm good Thank you Thank you Dr. McGee Good evening The only thing I would report is I think I saw it last month We did have our new probation supervisor start She's three days in She's come back So, so far, so good That's a good job But no, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and a lot of wisdom, so I'm excited Would you just refresh my memory, was she a local person or No, she was in Cook County, worked there for 20 years Okay, okay, that's right, I remember that now, okay Anything else? No, that's it Okay, thank you very much Thank you Mr. Larson Everyone should have our report to court services, happy to answer any questions you had, but otherwise, I know we've got a lot of ground to cover, and I'll save any further comments on the budget. Okay, Ms. Bardell? She had my report also, and I don't have much to say. It's been a busy last month, but it's very trial and everything. Diversion Fee, $542.02 was deposited and it's a total of $3,655.30. I'm guessing that there's a check that has not yet been cashed. But without Georgia here we probably can't. Okay, old business seeing none. New business we've got a whole lot of. So, the approval of the ordinance amending civil peace and criminal and traffic assessments charged by the clerk of the circuit court So I have to apologize, I left that folder on my desk, but Jasmine is printing it off for me, so she should be bringing that down in a minute Okay We were informed that the governor signed a bill adding $5 to the guardianship and advocacy fund and repealing another part of the guardianship fee that went into effect July 1st. We weren't informed by the Association of Illinois Ports until I think it was August 3rd or something. So we're trying to amend that ordinance, adding the $5, which goes to the state, not us, and removing another $100 fee. We reviewed it, and hopefully it'll be coming down and we can look at it in a second. So the $100 fee is something that they, did we use to collect the $100 fee? We did, and I believe that went to the state too, though. So do you know how much we're going to lose or I mean was this always going to the state or was this coming to us and now the state wants it I'm going to have to double check on that but I believe the $100 fee was broken up 90 and 10 I think the state was getting 90 and I'm not sure if we were getting 10 I'm not sure how much will we will be losing it doesn't sound like we're going to lose a lot Yeah. We don't really have an option. They signed it in the 11th hour, I guess, in the farm bill, and that's why no one noticed that it went through. And we were hoping that they would give us time to implement it, but it was effective immediately. Okay. Well, should we just move on to the, skip over that one and review and go down to the review and roll up your proposed budget, and then we come back to that. Sure. So the first budget we have is 804. It's in the general fund. So the department head, my salary is by resolution. The administrative assistant is by the county budget policy, the 3.5 percent. And then the regular circuit clerk deputies is a union contract of a dollar increase. Before time, we haven't had to do weekend court or anything. I'm hoping we won't. I did lower that. $2,000. Stationary stayed the same. Shrouding stayed the same. Postage miscellaneous stayed the same. E-citation, I lowered $10,000. A lot of that stuff, we had to pay more up front, so I shouldn't be using as much. and service contracts stay the same. I know in a lot of some of these items, you know, I budget for stuff, but I have spent less. And that's because of the technology grant or the access to justice grant, which I never know if I'm going to be getting or how much. Last year, the technology grant was only $50,000. And the year before, we got $310,000. I still budget for it, but thankfully I haven't had to spend it all because I've had other resources, but you never know what you'll get in the future. Okay. Any questions on that? Any questions? Just a comment. From the 2026 budget to the 2027 budget, it looks like it's lower. Am I, if I'm reading that right, correct? Yes. So her budget's coming in lower than from last year's budget. All right, then we go on to 807, which is jury. The juror amount stayed the same. Stationary supplies and postage. I did raise that a little because we have to, the postage is going up and I have to buy envelopes and we've been sending out a lot of, a lot of summonses and a lot of reminder summonses. So I did raise that 500. Jer meals stayed the same and printing and binding at first I did raise that a little bit but I think I can move that back down to a thousand that was one That was one thing that I didn't change back Okay Any questions? Any questions? So you're going to change that in the computer then? Yeah, I will Okay We have to put out of document storage next So the expenses, the middle Stationery and supplies, they're the same Last year the grant was $50,000 So that's what I put in for this year I have no idea Yeah, what it will be or if they even offer it. So that's something, if I get it, I spend it. If I don't, I'll spend it. Office equipment, stay the same, and lease and maintenance, stay the same. Any questions? Your interest income, where does that come from? That comes from our account, and we get some on one of our other accounts, one of our other bank accounts. And the last one is automation, which is 25, stationary and supplies stay the same, office equipment the same, and lease and maintenance the same. Questions on that page? Mr. Chairman, can we approve this even though there's a change on that one amount? You can make a motion to amend, or you could just go over until next month and ask her to represent it as you're wishing, whatever you want to do Okay Well, I think you get to approve all four separate, is that correct? You should approve separately Okay All right, well, let's start with the 804 Can I get a motion or second? I'll make a second Okay Motion by Mr. Hadley Second by Mr. Williams. Any discussion? I think it's pretty much already had that. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Okay, that page passes. Next page is the jury commission 807. Could I get a motion to amend this, the line 51300 from $1,500 down to $1,000? No, that's the wrong one. It's $6,200. Oh, sorry. Yep. I read that wrong. Sorry. It's $6,200. You're going to get a motion to amend that. I'll make a motion to amend that down to $1,000. Motion by Ms. Williams. Second. Second by Mr. Hadley. Any further discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Motion passes. The next one is 22 document storage is the last one. No, sorry, I'm sorry. Document storage is the next one. I just want to go get something together real quick. So on the tech, can I ask her something? Yes. So on the technology, it's going from 300 down to 50? Yes. And this year we only got 50. Oh, okay. So that's what we're going to budget is that. And you think that we're going to make revenue an extra $10,000 then on the document storage fee from $60,000 to $70,000? Last year you budgeted $60,000 for revenue. You're budgeting $70,000. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I just want to look at some numbers here first. Yeah. Motion to approve. I'll make a second. Okay. Motion by Mr. Williams. Second by Ms. Williams. Okay, no further discussion. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed, same sign. Hearing none, motion passes. The document storage budget. And then the last but not least is the court automation. Any further discussion? I'll make a second. Second by Ms. Williams. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed, same sign. Motion passes. Great. It's not cutting, so I'm just going to run over and go right back. All right. Hopefully, I'll be back before you're done. Okay, thank you. We'll move on to the state's attorney, Mr. Larson. Thank you. Everyone should have our budget in front of you. It's the long sheet right here like this. It is a status quo budget. The only changes are changes that have been pre-approved by the county board. So, be happy to answer any questions you may have. I will make a motion. Thank you. Ms. Williams? Second. Yeah, second, but, okay, second. But I want to, look. Yeah, yep, no, no, just take some time, go ahead and take some time. Thank you. Yep, yep. A $1,000 grant, I see that through 731, we've only, is it, refresh my memory, is this a grant we get from the state then? I don't remember whether that's a state or a federal grant. We're in partnership with the Free Fork Police Department and Voices. Voices kind of Boyce is kind of rose the laboring war in the grant application and then we just kind of add our aspect of that partnership to the grant and then the money comes to this. Okay then. What happens if we don't use the whole $40,000? Is it a rollover? Sure. I think it's largely a reimbursement. Oh, okay. Like we could use up to $40,000 and they'll give us up to $40,000, but I think if we don't use it, we don't get it. Okay. Okay. Okay. So that's, just to piggyback on bills, so you're saying that the grant is going to be $42,000? No. The grant will be $40,000. The grant will be $40,000? Yes. So the difference would have to come out of the... There is no difference. Whatever we use, we use. Whatever we don't use, we don't get. Looks like it's hooked, though. We're talking about a person, though, aren't we? A person's salary? It reimburses a part of one of our assistance-based attorney's salaries, yes. And also pays for some trainings and things of that nature. Okay, so there's more to it than just, there's more to it than a person. Yes. Got it. So I have a question, though, too, about your travel expense. Looks like, am I reading this right, you've spent more than what you budgeted? that could very well be we had two trials where we had to bring people in from out of state and a variety of training opportunities that we took advantage of as well but our overall budget will be well under budget this year and if you want to on how under budget we are. July, the beginning of July, is 58% of a year. If you look at the numbers, we used 50% of our budget. So that's the end of July, so it should be even more than 58% of our budget, meaning that we're about 8% under budget with a budget of $926,000. that should be about $70,000 under budget right now. Nice. Nice. I guess my problem is I don't see those figures that you're talking about. They're right here. No, no. I see what's on this budget sheet, but I don't see what... Am I missing a piece of paper here? No. Well, if you want to... I'm curious as to how he's comparing it that he's $70,000 under budget. Okay, so let's look at, I guess, why don't we, I mean, we may be even more, we're more under budget than that, but, so you see the 2026 through 7-31-26? Yep. Okay, so can we functionally call that August 1st? Sure. Okay, or actually, I guess, let's say we're through the seventh month of the year. They're 12 months of the year. Let's get the old calculator out here. so seven is 58.33% of 12 so we're 58.33% through the year right then look down here at 2026 budget and then the amount spent through July 31st 2026 so our budget is 9026 978 and we've spent 469 9640. So let's look at what we've spent as a percentage. So 469460, and we're going to add two zeros to that, divide it by 9267, and you have 50.66% of our budget is spent. So that means we're about 8% under budget right now. So let's figure out what 8% of 92678, oops, I'm going to redo that, so this is our 2026 budget, 926978 times 0.08 equals $74,158 that we are under budget right now. okay so yes you are correct we're about double a little more even than double closer to triple our travel expense so that's about two thousand dollars twenty two hundred dollars over in that line item but the budget as a whole is seventy four thousand one hundred fifty eight dollars and twenty four cents under as of July 31st and I appreciate you taking the time to explain and get your explanation. Sure. Thank you. That is a remarkable job. Wonderful. Well, the savings is in lack of personnel, so I wish I didn't have that. Any further discussion? We have a motion and a second. Motion to approve. I'll make a second. Motion by Mr. Adley, second by Ms. Williams. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Opposed, same sign. Motion passes. Thank you, Ms. Thornton. And judicial. Judge Howl, sir. Well, it's got the squealing line going through the middle of it. That's fine. And with one, the exception of one entry, everything is the same as last year. Although we moved, we want to move and eliminate two lines because we've determined we don't need them to put those funds into continuing education, which would again, and result in everything being the same request except for the very bottom, which is under the law library. Our research services, which is our contract with Westlaw, which is our electronic research tool that although it comes out of the law library budget, the public defender's office, the state's attorney's office all the judges and the law library have access to that and the contract that Judge McClendon in consultation with Travis and Carl here is going to be increased by 22% and it's basically just because of the much better capabilities of the research the abilities that we would have, and these two can speak to that much more eloquently than I can. Yeah, they've done some improvements with AI, I think. Yes, exactly. Yeah, you're absolutely right. It's making things a whole lot easier, basically, in a nutshell, doesn't it? I mean, you guys, you have guys that have anything to add to that. 22% increase when you look at that, it's, you know, a big increase, but it's worth every time ever. Yeah, it would be a drastic change even in a couple of months. We've had access to that to go back to what we used to have had. I mean, it is an invaluable feature. One that we can't, maybe even the Westlaw by itself, we cannot function without having access to Westlaw. It's impossible in the legal profession to do it. But the access that this affords us is a time-saving tool alone. Yeah, it's a force multiplier. I mean, you can do more with fewer people, which is the situation that we're in, in the state's attorney's office. And also, there's an issue of competitiveness. Now, you know, if we did something else, we would probably, you know, you'd do the same thing for the state's attorney's office and the public defender's office. And so we would be on relatively equal ground in that way. But the state's attorney's office doesn't just try cases against the public defenders. We tried cases against private attorneys of all varieties, and they have access to it, and we needed to be competitive with them. And I understand it's a lot of money, but it's like telling the sheriff's stephanies they can't have squad cars or bullets or handcuffs or something like that. I mean, this is something we need to do our jobs. Your Honor. So if I'm reading this right So, if I'm reading this right, you want 700, you want to close out two line items? That's correct. And move those two line items into continued education that would move that 2,400 up to 31? That's correct. Okay. You didn't make the changes in the computer yet? It did not happen, though. Matt and I weren't sure how to proceed on that until we this is where we're at. I apologize. We can amend that. Remove the two lines. Yeah. Where are the two lines? I see that where the two lines. There'll be a budget note next to the two that we're going to eliminate. Both Kathy said investigation expense. Okay, yeah, between the two of them, total $700 Oh, yeah, I see it now How do you want to do this motion? Can I get a motion to remove those two lines, I think, first Well, remove those two lines and add that $700 to the 001-805-68-130 line Is that the right line? You probably want to be more clarified Okay We'll take out line 001-805-62-200 We'll actually move it to Okay, let's just remove it first Let's just remove that line and the other line is 001-806-68-200 Correct We'll remove those two lines Can I get a motion? Motion I'll make a second motion to remove these two lines from the judicial budget all those in favor say aye aye opposed same sign motion passes and we'll make a motion to increase line 001-805-68-130 continuing education to $3,100 from $2,400 I'll second. Second by Ms. Williams. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Motion passes. Okay, and then we'll need a motion to pass the budget. The amended budget. I'll make a motion to approve the amended judicial budget. Motion by Ms. Williams. Second. Second by Mr. Hadley. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Hearing none. Budget Passes. Do you have to do the law library budget too? Is that a separate? 1-0-5, 1-0-8. Mr. Helms, is that? If you didn't include it in your motion to approve it, then yes, you need to. You need to do a separate motion. Okay. We were not specific with our motion for the judicial and the court expenses, Okay. Which is what we're saying we have just approved. Approved. Okay. So we approved the, so we need two more motions or one motion to approve the court ordered and the law library. Can we do those two together? You can do whatever you want. Approving them separately is just for transparency purposes, but if you want to include them, you can include them. Okay. Well, just give me a, if we can get a motion to approve, we'll do them single. Okay. Motion to approve court ordered. Court ordered. That was amended. that was amended. I'll make a second. Okay. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Okay. So we have two passed. Now we will do the law library. Can I get a motion to approve? I'll make a motion to approve the law library. Motion by Ms. Williams. Second. Second by Mr. Hadley. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Motion passes. Okay. Thank you. Move on to probation. All right. So I have two budgets. The first one should have a highlighted page that shows the 020 probation service fees. Beginning with that budget, essentially, all line items come out of probation service fees. So I'm just going to open it up to any questions you might have. Yeah. Through probation service fees. Yes, that's before we just had kids, but we're including everything and we're getting ready to get a new drug testing system going. So I put that under there as well. So excited about that. Trying to keep up with technology. So if I'm reading this, Ray, it looks like our revenue is going to be down in the service fees from the projected 659 to 617. Yes, I am projecting that just because we're not taking in as much in probation service fees. We no longer charge for drug testing fees and if cases get closed out in probation service fees, it's just harder to collect, I guess. And your expenses look like they're down from last year from 196 to 178 if I'm reading this, right? Yeah, so the expenses have gone down, though. So we've tried to make some modifications to adjust to the changes. So this is all fee-driven, this budget deal. What efforts do you use to collect fees? They're court-ordered. They're court-ordered, and so if they come in, they come in, and that's about all you can do. We file violations to attempt to collect those fees. Do they go to, like, collections? Do they hang out there? Some of them go to collections, and so that could take quite a while to get that money, if we get it. But, yeah. Well, and then... Some pay, some don't. Some have circumstances where they can't. They're just, there's no money coming in, so there's no money to pay anything. They're lucky they can exist. Pretty much. I mean, we try to be understanding of some of different people's circumstances. for the most part we do try and want to get those fees because that is our primary source okay motion to approve okay all right i'll second it the probation fees motion and a second approve the probation service fees budget all those in favor say aye aye same sign none motion passes thank you um the second one is the zero zero one Um, I don't see it listed, but I believe that it was understood that I was going to be presenting both of them. 001. And that's, um, the county, I call that the county budget, should have both of them. Who did you submit it to? Georgia? Georgia. Uh-huh. Oh, I got three minutes. Um, to Georgia and Dale. And she told me that. All I have is the expenses. You mean 803? Yeah. 803 months from the end. 803 and I've got expense. She said, yeah. Do you need both of these budgets approved tonight? Because there's something that you need. I have an annual plan. Probation service fees definitely has to be approved tonight because now some of the line items have moved per statute of probation. I prefer to do both of them because It could have an impact on my annual plan, but I mean, I can present it and not have it approved, but I don't know. I don't know why it wouldn't be approved. And I can go through and explain a few of the significant changes. That results in the biggest increase outside of salary. Salaries from the department head, which is myself, probation officers, supervisors, as well as bonuses are all reimbursed by the state. operations and are to support staff is per the county budget policy. The biggest change is the office equipment in which I put in for the vest. So that's why you see the 400 percent because we have to have 12 vests for the officers to go out into the field and they're going to expire. where previously probation has paid for those things, but due to statute, we can no longer pay for those. I'm thinking after we had our meeting that day, should we budget, you know, like a third of this every year? Can we even do that? Kind of like a savings account so when, you know, three years from now when you have to replace them again, it's not a 400% increase to seven. Is that even possible? So, mm, I mean, it's, I don't think, do you have to do five, can we go, is it three, or it's about five, because I think I did it in 22, so yeah, I have five years. Five years, okay. So I don't know if it would be necessary to do that. Now, bulletproof vests expire sometimes, and you've got to change them out. How good are they, how long are they good for both? Five, that's what we just said, five years. Okay. Yeah. Because I know in the military we had to always change out our bulletproof vessels. Yeah. So it's, I think it's a significant amount of time where we wouldn't need to. And this is for everybody then? This is for all officers. I have, it's for 10 officers and two supervisors who have to go out into the field to evaluate the officers. So, Dale, my opinion on that is you should be budgeting expenditures for the next fiscal year, not for subsequent years, unless you have a contract in place that's committing you to those dollars, but even so, I still don't see how you allocate excess funds on an expenditure line that you're not going to spend in that fiscal year. Okay, that makes sense. Thank you. I mean, it increases. And I did, I took the juvenile detention down by $10,000 to try to offset some of that just a little bit, but as we know, we never know how many You should have been back with us. Well, you were with us back in the 2000s when we were running into huge problems when we ran out of money at the detention and we had to find money put into the budget. I wasn't here then I mean, we went through a lot of money and had to find money. It was very difficult back in the early 2000s, you know, when we were doing that. But I see, you know, that's amazing. I mean, we used to spend $120,000 just like that. I mean, they were born a lot in at that time. You just never know. I mean, you can have it get in for 30 days. And I think it was more expensive because we were at Mary Taylor or what? Mary Davis. Mary Davis. Yeah, because the fees were quite expensive there. And since then, now we're over in Kane County or? Yes, Kane County. Yeah. So all of these numbers, you know, it's just depends on, you know, some of these circumstances. It's just, you know, it looks bad, 400% increase, but, you know, it is what it is. You need them. So I don't know how we get around it. I see the motion to approve. I'll make a second. Second motion by Mr. Hadley, second by Ms. Williams. Thank you. On the probation of budget. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign, seeing none. Budget passes. Now we can move down to the public defender, Mr. Luce. Mine should be the easy one to spot since I didn't even realize until I looked at this that I printed it in the small fashion that it is. So hopefully you can squint enough and see everything that's in there. If you can, I can take a picture and I'll blow it up on my phone for you. If the, if you know the top three that are in there, one is the one that bears that my salary is approved by a resolution, which includes the state mandated COLA, and also the change in statute that it then changes it to 95% of the state's attorney's office. Two below that are the budget policy, 3.5 COLA increases. All the other line items, with the exception of the professional due, stays exactly the same. I did not realize that we had been paying $750 towards the Chief Defender Association out of a different line, I don't want to explain this rather than the dues for whatever reason that was and then not using the rest of the remaining portions of that so that includes that as well as the Stevens County Bar Association dues for the attorneys in my office that amounts to a $1,000 change from last year to this year. With the exception of that, everything else is the same. You're not anticipating any office equipment? Over $500? Printer? I suppose those don't cost that much. Oh, well, it's got the $3,000 line item in there. Well, it's just that there's no money left in the account right now. That's why I'm wondering. That's the non, that's non-spent. I currently have $3,000. All right. Okay. Got it. Thank you. Motion to approve. I'll make a second. All right. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed? Same sign. No. Motion passes. But I don't know the process to this, too, but I have the additional supplements that are are attached to this. I don't know if that's such a nice thing. You can discuss it. I don't think there's an action item for that. Okay. So I have two of those that are there that you'll see, one of which, the first in that packet that you have is verbatim, the one that I submitted a couple of years ago. I'll be up front. I have absolutely no expectation that that is going to be granted, but I am including it because like I have told this committee as well as the department head meetings finances that I have a strong opinion that us in the county board rewarding people trying to get to the gym and then also it makes people healthier which then ultimately helps us with the insurance premiums that we're going to see continue to rise and rise and I know that overarchingly the insurance is a driving factor for employment here in the county if we were to lose that employment and we would be in a very bad situation, I think, for employees. So my proposal on there is based on the $19 a month that the county actually gets to the Blue Cross Blue Shield and spilling over with me reimbursing at the end of the year. But I won't go much into other detail as that because I'm assuming that there's going to be some other issues that this county is going to have to deal with other than the gym memberships. Yes, so I'll just look at that I appreciate you The second one I submitted is different from that is a supplemental request for what amounts to the third line item in the budget outside of the 3.5 COLA that's there I'm asking for an additional 2% for the support staff to outweigh what I anticipate to be the health insurance premiums increasing after I did the math it was just under one that would be a 90% worth of additional money they would need to have to offset the increase in premium price for them, which is going to be about 60-something, $61, $62 per pay period, or paycheck. This then would then offset that to allow that to at least experience some of the COVID. I understand the attorneys in my office are compensated well. I think this county board has done a good job of me being able to do that. has done a good job of me being able to be in a position to recruit people and keep people. So I'm not looking for that in every aspect of this, but I'm asking for the two support staff that I do have, which then in there is broken down. You can see the cost is a total of just over $1,800 with the IMRF of $1,478 and Social Security of $1,4137. I am also cognizant of the fact that I am certain other people have not asked for this and the concerns that that gives rise to with me making a request and nobody else adding that request and what issues that can arise from so I'm aware of it too but Because I take it your support staff is not covered under the union, correct? Right, right, we cannot unionize. Got it You know, we can't pass this in tonight, but we will definitely look at it and add it to the agenda for next month Thank you The budget policy is, you know, exact on what we should do and shouldn't do there But I do appreciate you, you know, trying to support your employees and give them all money Yeah, I get it, I get it You have great staff, I think Do you think Adrian's going to have the nice sheet that she fills out of all everybody's supplements and stuff? Once they're received, I believe besides the public defender, the only other one that we've seen has been for emergency management, and that's really, we're not sure that's actually going to be a supplemental request, But yes, there will be a format similar to what we've used in the past I know that my motion last year was delay the state's attorney's salary We split it, didn't we, from 7% and then we went 3.5 last year That sounds right Were you going to put in for another 3.5 or kind of leave it alone I was not planning on putting in for another three and a half Okay, then And that was for the attorneys which were trying to reach parity with the public defender's office But you guys wore me down I just wasn't going to ask again this year So you're still under I would have to look at it But the numbers I gave you last year if fully funded would have brought us into parity with the assistance of public defenders and then you cut that in half so I would assume that we're not in parity but I haven't examined that this year I know I made that motion last year so I just was wondering on that too so well I appreciate what you what you guys think but it looks like we might have a real tight budget this year I I would suspect so We'll just have to wait and see when we get some, when has she gone to project revenue numbers, we'll see them next month, then, hopefully, so we'll see some numbers and stuff, okay Okay, the next order of business is youth diversion, is there a budget for youth? No, there wasn't one, okay So that'll have to be laid over to next month, then we'll get it next month, okay Okay, and then we'll go back to, got us all copies of? Yes, what has been changed is in red, let me know, that's five dollars, is all on the civil filing fees, it didn't affect any of the criminal schedules towards the back. Okay, but didn't you say that this money, this, what's in red here is what I've added, correct? But also that's money that goes to the state Yeah, the additional $5 is going to go to the state So right now, if you are filing a new case, it would be $306 But they're adding $5 to the guardianship and advocacy fund It's going to go up to $311 Okay Yes Thank you Yes Yep, sorry, I missed you Okay. I thought you said there was somewhere we had to change something from $100. All I see is $5. They subtracted the $100 fee and that wasn't actually broken down in one of the schedules. So this will clean everything up then? Yes. By state statute, correct? Yes. Okay. Well, I see no issue. We can't go against what the state passes. No, no. Motion to approve. I'll make a second. Motion by Mr. Hadley, seconded by Ms. Williams. Any further discussion? Say amen. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Motion passes. I mean, if you do have a used diversion, I apologize, I didn't see it. I was trying to get my link on the tablet. I have a silly question, who put the youth conversion budget together? I believe I'm not 100% certain, but I know she's the one that placed the note on the documents. I'm kind of skewed because of the timing of the payment of the dollars, and that's what we changed it to last year. That stays the same. I make a motion to approve. Okay. Motion by Ms. Williams. Second. Second by Mr. Hadley. Any further discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor, say aye. Aye. Opposed, same time. Okay, passes. Use diversion fund. Thank you for all the patience and information. That was a lot of numbers and a lot of papers. So, 10.0, adjournment. I'd like to make a motion to adjourn. Motion by Ms. Williams. Second. Second by Ms. Bradley. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Those opposed, same sign. Thank you, everybody. Thank you.
